Celebrate fall with a day of fun for the entire family at the Downers Grove Park District Annual Harvest Fest!
This free event will include live entertainment, hands-on activities, food and beverages. ARRA, Chicagoland’s premiere classic rock cover band, will headline the live entertainment from 5 to 7 pm. Suburban Cowboys, the ultimate country cover band, will hit the stage from 1 to 3 pm. DJ Coach Josh will spin tunes and get the crowd dancing from 12 to 1 pm and 4:30 to 5 pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to make themselves comfortable during the performances.
Glowby the Bubbler will entertain kiddos with a one-of-a-kind, outdoor bubble performance from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Kids of all ages will find hands-on activities in the Children’s Area from 12 to 5 pm including free face painting and airbrushing, carnival games with prizes and a bounce house.
New this year is a Pumpkin Decorating Contest available for all ages. Pie pumpkins will be sold for $2 each while supplies last. Bring your own décor and pumpkin flair or use our provided supplies to decorate your very own pumpkin to enter in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Decorating will take place from 12 to 4 pm. The contest will feature five award categories by age group (ages 1 to 4, 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 17 and 18+) and winners will be announced and awarded prizes at 4:45 pm.
Local food vendors will serve up a bounty of good eats and fall-themed adult beverages will be available for purchase.
