If “A” is for “autumn” it’s also for “apple” and “An Apple Afternoon” at Primrose Farm is the best way to take in all the sights, smells and sounds of the season.  The Farm’s orchard is ripe for the pickin’, and families willing to lend a harvest hand can explore the orchard, gather fruit, help make applesauce and apple butter in the summer kitchen, and create and use apple stamps for a fun seasonal craft project.  U-pick opportunities may be available for an additional fee, depending upon ripening schedules.  The free “An Apple Afternoon” event takes place from 1 to 4pm on Saturday, October 5. Please register.

Fall Friday and Saturday nights at the Farm are best enjoyed by the light of the silvery moon and from a seat in our tractor-drawn wagon as your take a 30-minute wagon ride around the Farm grounds.  Warm up afterwards with hot chocolate and hot cider enjoyed around a bonfire for a marshmallow roast.  Moonlight Hayrides take place on October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17. There are three departure times each evening to choose from:  5:30, 6:30 or 7:30pm. Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Advance registration is required.
