Belmont Golf Club was established in 1892 by Charles Blair MacDonald as the first 18-hole course in the United States. Today, Downers Grove Golf Club is a 9-hole, par-36 course that offers a challenging golf experience for average to higher skill levels.
The driving range at the Downers Grove Golf Club is open year round and features a large practice putting green, sand trap, chipping area and a new driving range shelter covering 10 of the 24 hitting stations. Target areas are located throughout the range and are prominently marked.
The shelter provides an extension to the golf season and keeps golfers more comfortable on hot or cold days and features LED lights, ceiling fans, garage doors, comfortable lounge furniture, and self-service infrared heaters.
Buckets may be purchased directly at the ball dispenser with a credit card at any time. Cash sales take place inside the clubhouse only during the golf season clubhouse hours.
