Summerfield Zoo is home to a large variety of exotic animals, ranging from reindeer and monkeys to camels and mountain lions! We are an up close and personal zoo with lots of opportunities for interaction with almost 200 mammals, birds and reptiles, endangered and threatened species. We have fun, educational Animal Encounter Shows everyday.
Most of the other services offered year round – field trips, birthday parties, on site parties or gatherings other days and off site educational programs!
Field Trips & Tours
Field trips and private group tours are available on days that Summerfield Zoo is not open to the public. Tours are tailored specifically to the age group and are educational fun for 2 year olds to 102 year olds!
The cost for a field trip is $6 per person with a minimum fee of $240. This reserves the zoo for your group for two hours and includes an educational guided tour of all of the species at the zoo. The tour lasts between 1 hour and 1.5 hours – depending upon the number of questions and attention span of the group. There are a number of species of animals are able to be touched. The remainder of the time can be used for lunch, snacks, meeting, or a lesson plan.
Birthday Parties
When you reserve the zoo for a private birthday party, you get the use of the facility for three hours for thirty people. It includes your choice of a guided tour of the entire zoo or an animal encounter presentation. The tour usually takes about an hour and a half, depending on the attention span of the kids and their number of questions. The animal encounter presentation option usually takes about 30 minutes. The remainder of your time can be used for food, cake, presents, etc.
The cost for a birthday party is $10 per person with a minimum fee of $300.
